Natalie McDonald Natalie McDonald, Director of Vocal Music, directs the Mixed Chorus, a group of 103 singers grades 9-12, as well as the Treble Chorus, a 3-part SSA choir of 57 9th and 10th graders. She also leads Voices and Changes, the two jazz choirs. Mrs. McDonald, a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University (Truman), has taught in Long Beach, California, Waukee, Dowling, Valley WDM, and West Central Valley before coming to DC-G. She has also served as staff accompanist at Drake University and still free-lances in the Des Moines area. Eric Carlson Mr. Carlson is in his first year as Director of Rhythm 'n Red. He comes to DCG with lots of past show choir experience including Asst. Director of Show Choir at Valley High School and choreographer for groups in Nebraska and Iowa. In addition to his duties at Dallas Center-Grimes, he is a substitute teacher, teaches private voice at Johnston High School, and is a freelance choreographer. Mr. Carlson is a graduate of Drake University with a Bachelors of Music Education and Vocal Performance. Vocal Honors 2008-2009 Voices Jazz Choir
